Join Octavia Faith Raheem for an experiential training and journey to learn how to lead yourself and others to become more devoted to rest while living on purpose and impacting change.

This training will teach you to first and foremost maintain a personal rest practice throughout the seasons of your life and leadership. It will guide you to authentically and skillfully hold sacred space for rest in nontraditional places and support others to live more well rested and awakened lives through your leadership, coaching, facilitation, speaking engagements, and endeavors.

Deepening personal Practice

First, one of the following prerequisites is required:

  • Successfully completed Devoted to Rest® 

  • Successfully completed training with one of the collaborators listed here between 2021-2024 and can provide a recommendation from them.

    We know this: you can’t truly teach what you do not consistently practice. Part one of our training is dedicated to deepening and expanding your personal rest practice through direct experience and online classes.

Unlearning and learning 

There’s an alchemy to this. Part two of our training is focused on learning more about structured rest styles, holding sacred rest space with leaders and at work, create and lead deep relaxation practices, as well as structure and design for transformational rest sessions. It’s about unlearning.

  • Introduction to rest styles: restorative and yin

  • Somatic Training Basics

  • Soulful Meditation

  • Rest, Imagination, and Leadership

  • Sacred business development and practices

Teaching Practice

Don’t sweat the technique. Part three of our training is devoted to honing your rest facilitator/teacher voice, style,  and delivery. You won’t leave this training with just theory, you will have opportunities to plan, design, and lead rest sessions that apply to your real life, real work, and leadership context.

The inaugural training cohort has space for 8-10 leaders and by application only.

This training is for individuals who have at least two years of devoted and structured rest practice (restorative, yin, meditation, Yoga Nidra) and are established leaders, coaches, and facilitators with three or more years of experience in their field who want to ground their personal development, work, business, and organizational growth in restorative and rest based practices. One of the following prerequisites will be required for applicants:

  • Successfully completed training with one of the collaborators listed here between 2021-2024 and can provide a recommendation from them.
