CHILLshop: Pause, Rest, Be Retreat
Join author Octavia Raheem for a restful retreat / CHILLshop on February 6, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm ET.
This practice is a place for deep release, personal retreat, and collective refuge as we near almost two full years of a global pandemic.
A CHILLshop is the opposite of a workshop. The practice will include extended slow and mindful movement, resting postures, and deep relaxation. See what I mean? We “chillin’”, not working.
As a participant, you are encouraged to clear your calendar for some time before and after our time together, pre-plan for food/snacks, and dedicate a sweet chunk of your day to retreating..
You will need:
Pillows, blankets, bolsters
Journal and something to write with

Though our retreat will officially start at 11:00am ET and end at 1:00pm ET here is the schedule I recommend for your personal retreat:
10:00-10:30am Set up your retreat space. Gather your blankets, pillows, create an altar, burn incense. Do what you need to do t make sure that your space feels like “it’s a vibe” for your rest retreat
10:30-10:55 Tea or light snack
10:55am Log in for our retreat
11:00-1:00pm CHILLshop which includes yin, restorative, meditation, and deep relaxation
1:00-1:30 Journal on your own, reflect on your experience
1:30-2:30 Slow lunch and move back into your day
